Poiré, or pear cider is a traditional drink made in the Normandy countryside. This example from the cellars of Comte Louis de Lauriston is made from a blend of several varieties to achieve the right flavour profile. It’s bottled part way through fermentation which results in a refreshing natural sparkle. Its intense and aromatic aromas lead onto a very flavoursome and refreshing palate that is both fruity and dry.
