Description
A forward thinking biodynamic winery in the heart of Stellenbosch. Practising ultra organic farming, they use French Percheron horses in the vineyard instead of tractors, sheep keep the grass between the vines trimmed, and chickens keep the insects at bay & provide eggs for fining the wine. There are even ‘wildlife corridors’ so indigenous wild animals can get across the vineyard to keep pests at bay & get between their habitats.
This Chenin Blanc is bright and vibrant with aromas of citrus, white flowers and a hint of honey. Ripe and full flavoured with a rounded mouthfeel thanks to a long, slow fermentation and extended lees contact. Nice concentration of stone fruit characters with hints of dried apricot and mango. Good balancing acidity on the clean, fresh finish.
