Familia Schroeder are one of the pioneers of re-establishing vineyards in Patagonia and have a magnificent estate and winery in San Patricio del Chanar a lovely river valley within a harsh dessert environment.
This oaked Chardonnay is a golden yellow in colour with hints of green.
Strong citrus aroma on the nose which also comes through on the palate with notes of tropical and stone fruits and a flinty streak of minerality, typical of the terroir on which the grapes are grown.
Well integrated oak gives elegant vanilla and adds body.
The weight of the wine is balanced perfectly by a refreshing, citric acidity, the essence of fruit remains long on the palate.
Suitable for Vegetarians.
Try it with steamed cod with lemon sauce, grilled chicken and spaghetti carbonnara.
