Description
Brasserie de la Senne is a brewery in Brussels, Belgium, named for the river Senne which flows through the city.
Jambe-de-Bois is a generously hopped Tripel.
A heady blonde ale, it is very well-balanced, and its alcohol content is never aggressive, making it dangerously easy to drink.
Fermentation aromas dominate, reminiscent of pear and ripe banana.
The hops then develop with floral and spicy notes (white pepper, nutmeg).
Its alcohol level gives it a certain roundness, but the lack of residual sugars makes its finish dry and slightly bitter.
