Description
Piemonte based producer Araldica acquired the Battistina vineyards in 2002, and quickly gained the reputation of being a Gavi specialist. The majority of the Cortese grapes from the 26 hectare estate go towards making the lovely unoaked Battista Gavi.
The Battistina Gavi is a lovely, crisp wine with good minerality and pure poached pear characters to balance the zingy acidity.
A good long finish confirms the quality.
