Description
At Pilot, drinkability is at the heart of everything we do. We put flavour firmly ahead of appearance, shunning finings and filtration to ensure every beer we make tastes brilliant.
Scotch Export is a love letter to Edinburgh’s rich brewing heritage, this classic malt-forward Scotch Ale utilises historic ‘Fountainbridge yeast‘, a strain traditionally associated with McEwan’s and Caledonian breweries. If, like me you grew up in Edinburgh, you could often smell this in the air if the wind blew a certain way.
Expect a sweet, full-bodied Scottish ale with caramel, toffee, and roasted malt flavours, with grassy and floral hops, balanced by a pleasant, mild bitterness and smooth mouthfeel.
In contrast to the tourist-shop AI Highland Cows that plague Edinburgh, we’ve teamed up with local artist Steven Cox to showcase one of his highly textured abstract paintings.
Suitable for Vegans.
